If you read my "about me", you know that I'm looking at the long haul in terms of education. I still have a year of class BEFORE medical school and once I'm in, it will most definitely feel like it is never gonna end. The one thing I know about myself is if I have an inspiring place to work, I work like a maniac. I will not stop until I haven conquered the world if that space is beautiful enough. I'm moving into a new place in about a month and it has a room set aside just for an office for me, the only problem is that I don't have much of a budget to go nuts with after taking care of dumb grown up things, like bills. I have to resort instead to slowly building that space and looking at office inspiration in the meantime.
Both of these speak to me SO much, because they use my absolute favorite color (that minty, tiffany blue), but they also have some individual strengths. The one on the left is what I like to call "clutter-clean". It looks messy, but in reality is just lived in. It's organized, functional and has an amazing color scheme. My favorite thing about the office on the right is that it utilizes a vintage desk. I love the idea of incorporating vintage furniture into a modern space. The only issue I have is that the desk looks pretty authentic and may be difficult to actually use as a workspace with the rough surface.
I love how big the space is in the office on the right. I'm personally a fan of things being hidden away in drawers (usually because the drawers are just awfully messy inside, but you'd never know that from looking at it). The addition of a space for some wicker baskets and the fun accessories makes it a space that I think would inspire so many ideas. I think if the office on the left incorporated that tiffany blue color somewhere, it would be my ideal. I love the whimsy and the DIY feel of all the accessories. When I have the means and the time, I love to make things myself because they never turn out completely perfect, but they always seem to look great anywhere, just because you know you made it. Lord knows this won't be the last of my office inspiration binges, but I can't wait to create my own space incorporating different pieces of each of these rooms.
